Runners participated in 100k solo, 100k relay, 20k &amp;amp; 10k divisions. According to the organizers, &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;"trail runners will discover that varied terrain and unexpected descents and climbs still await them in Sacobia. Multiple river crossings, running in lahar, canopied trails and more await those who will go the distance, endure the trail and test their limits."&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Since this is my first trail run and had been complaining for some pains on my left knee, I ended up signing for the 10k. Sunday, 24 May 2009, the 10k race began at 5:40am, 10 minutes later from the 20k division. The first 1k approx. of the race was spent on the road leading to Sacobia bridge; before the bridge we took a narrow trail down to the river bed where we run at least four kilometers on lahar; after crossing the river, we took a path covered with cogon grass before ascending a steep trail towards a foot trail that spans three kilometers at least; finally, we hit the concrete road, cross the Sacobia bridge, then sprint to the finish line. I completed the race in less than an hour that landed me among the top twenty runners.
